"I demonstrate the different scalar,modal and rhythmic exercises that I have found most beneficial in mastering improvisation. Throughout the 12 chapters, there is a systematic development of the scales, their modes, and odd time signatures. Through the application of the scales tones derived from modes, I am able to show how to develop harmonic understanding and its application on the guitar.
Each of the 12 Chapters contains a systematic approach to the development of improvisation. First, there are the expositions of the different subjects, exercises for fluency then follow. The relative harmony is explained. Then come demonstrations of my improvisations in the chapter's subject, followed by the analysis of my improvisations.
At the end of each chapter, practice tracks are available in sync with audio while viewing the chord structure.
We used the latest video technology showing 3 simultaneous videos, (L. Hand, R. Hand, with notation in sync.), including multi-angle views for the demonstrations.
Finally, there is a library of almost 100 personal musical phrases in sound and notation, all related to the various chapters.
The scores of the improvisations can be printed out in PDF format from the official website."
