It's a nice guitar... Nice wood. I upgraded it with a Seymour Duncan JB and a boutique copy of the Seymour Duncan '59.
A friend o' mine has a Music Man John Petrucci Signature. Great guitar. Despite the fact that the Music Man is far more versatile and beautiful, I think the Z42 sounds better. But it's a matter of taste.
If you are thinking about getting one of these guitars, play one of them first. If you feel like it's a good guitar, go for it.
