Handmade body, neck, and fingerboard for what was to be a Ravelle Custom when Fernandes Guitars considered having a custom shop in North Hollywood. This particular set was made by hand by luthier Pete Skermetta during his time at Fernandes. Neither the Ravelle Custom or the custom shop were ever fully realized and only about three Ravelle Customs actually finished.
Body is two-piece mahogany with a mahogany neck. Fingerboard is ebony with vivid split-trapezoidal abalone inlays. Top is carved bookmatched flame maple. The only real flaw I can really see is a small chip out of the headstock on the bottom part of the curve, pictured. This guitar was also to have binding along the neck (the fingerboard is not as wide as the neck to accommodate the binding) and perhaps along the body.
This is a rare piece of Fernandes history, abandoned when the company closed its warehouse in California. You will most likely not see one of these again.
