I suppose romk wandering about using Axe FX as poweramp, with preamp/pedal plugged into it and poweramp+cab emulation used. Am I right?

Exactly! It is impossible to record 50W tube amp in my place. But I cherish my preamp & analogue effects. So I would like to know how well is Axe at emulating power amp> cab> mic placement ?

romk, this what I call Sovok at its best. Buying a $2k+ preamp with latest technology and sticking in some shitty pedals in front? Fail.  

Turrokk, I just use what i like. If you consider a $500 delay is something useless I am not looking for the latest technology to replace the traditional treatments to get the tone. Sovok is somewhere else, not here, chap.  

Turrokk, why not to try Axe for a specific reason ? It is just a tool to make some music right? There is no rule how to properly use stuff for recording, imho. And there is something special about the delay I use - its sound. I do not care if it is digital or what. Why do you think Time Factor is exclusive?

Because only someone obsessed with analog-only rigs would disregard it. If you're using digital pedals, chances are, most of them are inferior to AXE's FX modules. Trust me, they're VERY convincing.

Because TimeFactor kicks ass, and everything else sucks lama's dick.  

Thus said, if I were to use the AXE FX, I would definitely get rid of all of my pedals. And the first one to go would be the TimeFactor
