From: [email protected]To: [email protected]Subject: Re: Cornford clean sound ?!Date: Thu, 13 Jan 2011 13:41:04 +0300Hi Denis,Martin Kidd here: Cornford's amp designer and co-founder.I suspect that you will be able to get near clean tones from a Carrera or other Cornford amp that you would like but they probably won't have the upper frequency response that makes an amp like a Fender Twin nature amps, for example, sound they way it does when used in the styles you have mentioned like blues/jazz and so on. I agree with you that our amps are not the best clean-sounding, but many people I know do, however, get good results when recording , as the volume levels required are often not of primary importance. Cornford amp will clean up quite well by turning down the guitar's volume control but the result of this will depend on the guitar in use and how high the gain level is set, too. Also doing that, you have to remember about waste of frequency and etc.I hope this information is some use to you.Kind regards,Martin
