I had a 2266 for a little over a week. I put it through it's paces, and while I thought it was a good amp, I have others that are just better (VHT Pitbull super 30, Bad Cat Hot Cat 30r). I put on the Beano album and played along with it and it sounded right there (used a Gibson VOS 60 Les Paul). But the added overdrive circuit was buzzy. I like some of the tones I got, but it wasn't good enough to be a keeper. Completely overdriven it still didn't venture into UFO or VH I territory. It doesn't compare to a JTM45, or even my old JCM 800. Nice amp, but there is so much more out there.
А вот Paul Gilbert что говорит......
The recent G3 tour gave me the opportunity to jam with Joe Satriani and John Petrucci every night for a month. Both Joe and John have amazing tones, and playing with them inspired me to take a closer look at my own guitar sound. My search led me to my new favorite amp: The Marshall Vintage Modern. I'll be playing a pair of Vintage Modern 2266c combo amps on my European tour. If you want real rock tone, try one now!
