"It has now been almost two years since I signed up with Strictly 7 Guitars. We set out to design an awesome playing and killer looking signature guitar built to my specs. This has been a dream for me from when I started playing guitar in my teens. Dimebag, John Petrucci, Steve Vai among others have/had their own guitar models built to their own specs. If I ever could have something like that I would be the happiest guy in the world.
To be completely honest I didn't think they would sell more than one of them(probably my dad buying that only one) but that didn't matter too much. I still had a signature guitar! A life long dream! And it was good also to boot!
A lot has happened to me in the last two years, I've joined bands, kept on with my demos, even have a signature amp coming out from Randall. I quit my job to go full-time with music. I've met a lot of awesome people and made a lot of new friends.
Two years has gone by and seeing how the Solar have had such a success(being a 2000USD guitar) it makes me proud as hell! It's an accomplishment way beyond what I ever imagined we could pull off.
Anyway two years has passed and I have a chance to either renew my contract or do something else. I've been giving it a lot of thought, while I feel like we've had an awesome run, due to where I am today I feel like I need to carry on. So I've decided not to renew the contract with S7G at this point.
To everyone who bought my signature S7G Solar and is still waiting for it don't be alarmed. You're going to get a KILLER instrument when you get yours, the guitars are awesome. My Solar prototype is still the best 7-string I own and all the other peoples Solars I've played have been up to par. Anyone who met me out on tours knows how much I love these guitars, literally shoving it in peoples hands so they can try it out.
So when you get yours delivered, send me pictures and audio clips of it. Love that stuff!
