These Grecos with the shielding paint and the brick shaped nuts are made by Cort in Korea.
They have Cor-Tek (Cort) on the pots.
Cor-Tek (Cort) have made so many brands it's hard to know them all, brands like Fender Squier, Ibanez and even Mighty Mite Fender parts.
Cort was making pretty good LPs in the late 80s which is probably why Kanda Shokai had some Grecos made there.
Late 80s Cort LP
The whole Japanese/Korean/Chinese/Indonesian thing means nothing soundwise.
One of my favourite guitars is a Fender Squier Bullet made in China by Yako from Taiwan.
It has a tone I like that I can't get from my USA Strat.
