Rickenbacker was building a one-off Lemmy guitar for "an undisclosed member of the Motorhead organization" but the project was scrapped due to circumstances hinted at by John Hall.
Given their stance on the protection of their trademarks, and Phil Campbells endorsement of the TC Ellis copy, I think it's a fair assumption that the two are related. Heres a pic of the unfinished guitar at RIC.
