Personnel: Viktor Krauss; Dean Parks, Lyle Lovett, Matt Chamberlain, Shawn Colvin, Shweta Jhaveri, Ben Taylor, Bill Frisell.
Bassist Viktor Krauss has made himself indispensable as a sideman to the likes of Lyle Lovett, Bill Frisell, and the Chieftains, and released his solo debut, FAR FROM ENOUGH, in 2004. Like its predecessor, II is highly eclectic, bringing together film music, country, jazz, blues, and rock in a lush sonic package. "Hop," a moody, guitar-driven dream, draws the listener into the album, and features contributions from Bill Frisell, Shawn Colvin, and Indian singer Shweta Jhaveri. II is a sure bet for anyone interested in creative, beautifully constructed music not tied to genre conventions.

http://ifolder.ru/3134312The keyboardist Wayne Horvitz and the percussionist Tucker Martine join a host of musician friends and stir up a mess of sounds. You can occasionally make out the individual contributions of such stellar guests as Bill Frisell, Bobby Previte, and Robin Holcomb, but isolating parts from the whole misses the point. It may not all be jazz, but it is all strangely absorbing.
