It seems to me that most(not all) of the information on this web site is about so called neoclassic or shred. Although the web site is called guitarplayer.ru,not shred.ru or neoclassic.ru,so I was just thinking...
There is a lot of great guitar players,working in styles of music other than neoclassic or shred(I keep my opinion about these two to myself),I'm talking about classical, jazz and all related styles,brasilian choro music,all kinds of folk music,even pop music(don't you think that Andy Summers influenced as many guitarists as Van Halen?)
I,personally(and I hope others too),would be very glad to see this web site expanding it's stylistic horizons and here is my question to everybody:
Who is your favorite no-distortion,no-shred,no-neoclassic guitar player(players)?
My choices: David Rhodes(P.Gabriel),Jimmy Nolin(James Brown),Jim Hall(jazz),Guinga(modern choro),Oscar Castro-Neves(brasilian).
