Some of you may not have any clue what I'm talking
about. From my experience or I still have problmes
with my guitar setup. It bazes, the attion is too
high. The tension is hard, Hmm interesting. Well
if you want to shred lower your actions, if you
want blue you do not have to. It's very personal!
However you have to know how to setup your guitar.
You know the guitar is just like a baby. The
change of temperature may effect the neck. Well
wood has different responce to the temp. For
instance it dries, bows or expands. All these
can effect your sound and playing.
Hint:
press on 1st and 12th fret, the distance between
string and 7th fret will show you. You want to shred
make it close like 2mm.
go to
http://www.ma.ultranet.com/~larryv/guitarsetup.htmWhat happend? Oh, not happy again, it's OK. The
neck of your guitar is too wide and you got, well
I'm sorry, short fingers, just like me. Get narrower
and thinger neck.
Hint:
try different guitars.
You guitar sounds like shit. Hmm When did you change
the strings, last month. I'm so jealous, Malmsteen
guitar technician changes his strings every day, it's
too bad we do not have that money!!! I know it's
expensive. When I play after 5 hour my string are
dead. I use too much of Floyd Rose. I bend a lot,
so this kills strings. Try different strings they
sound different. I used to use Blue Steel, but now
I use GHS, to me thet sound better for certant sounds.
Hint:
Eddie Van Halen used to boil his string because they
were getting rusty very easy. Well it was a long
time ago. Clean your string after you play. It
that case you are taking all that dirt off that
damages your string.
how to clean my guitar? Never clean with water.
Get some polish. My friend has mutli-colored
Jem with maple fret board. He had not been cleaning it
for a lonf time. After he did it sound a lot different,
not better not worse, just different. All that
dirt is part of you tone.
Afterhe clean
