I bought this pickup back in 1993 when it came out, because I was a great fan of Steve Vai.
The wire that comes from the pickup was replaced with expensive silver hi end cable that is 24 cm long. I remember it improved clarity and dynamics.
Who is looking for a good guitar sound when US pickups were not made from Chinese cheap parts. Here is an option.
