It's not a hoax, but it's from an old list that's depressingly innaccurate. Through circuitous but wholly legitimate routes, someone in Poland got a hold of a list that included a bunch of TBD wish list models and features (some of which we haven't even started and have since decided not to pursue) and leaked it. It's all way too much drama for a Friday morning but I'll post the proper list tomorrow.
In the meantime, everyone should curb their enthusiasm. If 2.80 was that big a deal, we would've done a proper NAMM launch, like we did with 2.50 last year. It won't be out until spring anyway.

The Tweed Deluxe originally came equipped with a Jensen P12R speaker. Due to limited power handling, owners sometimes replaced it with the more powerful Jensen P12Q.
