Carvin's Battle of the Bands is approaching soon! The deadline for entering is January 9th, 2008, so you only have about a week to get your band signed up. The winner of Carvin's Battle of the Bands will win a Carvin gear endorsement deal and $4000 in Carvin store credit! Semi-finalist competitions will be held at Carvin's stores in Hollywood, Covina, Sacramento, Santa Ana & San Diego. The winner from each of the five stores will win a complete Carvin PA system valued at $2400, and will move on to the finals at Carvin Headquarters on March 29th, 2008.

How it works
Each band drops off entry with all required materials by January 9, 2008 at the Carvin store
they wish to compete at. Each band may enter at one store only. Ten bands from each store location
will be selected for an audition that will be held on January 12, 2008 at 1pm. Five bands
from each store will be selected to advance to the Semi Finals.
The semi final competitions will be held on February 23rd at 1pm for the following locations
Carvin San Diego
Semi finals will also be held on March 1st at:
Carvin Santa Ana
One band from each location will advance to the Finals.
Each semi final winning band will receive a C1644P-1503 system.
Finals will be held at Carvin’s headquarters in San Diego CA.

Each band is limited to one entry at only one of the 5 Carvin locations. The music submitted on the entry and
performed at the competitions must not contain any profanity or racial content. All bands must perform original
music only, no covers. Carvin will provide a full backline of guitar and bass amps as well as a sound system for
the competitions. All bands are encouraged to use their own Carvin amp heads - with the cabinets provided on
stage. Otherwise all bands must use the provided backline gear. It is Ok to bring your own guitars, amp heads,
pedals and effects. Drummers must bring their own kits.
Each Demo submitted with entry must contain at least 4 original songs. 10 bands will be selected for an audition
from the entries. All selected bands must attend the auditions. All bands selected for the Semi Finals
must check-in by 12pm at each location. All band members must be present upon check-in time or performance
spot will be forfeited. All bands selected for the finals must check in by 12pm at the San Diego Factory location
