Классический пример 1235 - Колтрейн Giant Steps.
Это так называемые "строго-ориентированные мотивы" - обычно по 4 ноты, чтобы укладывать в быстром темпе на часто меняющиеся аккорды.

... и добавил:here's a really useful practice regime for standards - it goes like this:-
1 - Play the melody of the song
2 - Play the roots of each chord
3 - Play Roots and Thirds of each chord
4 - Play Thirds and Sevenths (also referred to as guide tones - very important)
5 - Play the arpeggios as outlined by the chord progression
6 - Play the scale best suited to each chord
7 - Practice a prescribed formula for each chord - this might be something like 1,2,4,5 or 1,3,5,6 etc.
Do all of this in small areas of the neck - say every 4 or 5 frets for maximum effectiveness. This should give you a good way to approach standards. Definitely transcription is a great way to learn jazz vocabulary but try it in a few different ways. A great way to develop your vocabulary and ears is to listen to a soloist and try to play each phrase just after they've played it. It's very, very tough but does wonders for your aural skills which are so vital in this style - you absolutely have to be able to hear the harmony.
